I would like to make some burp clothes...In the olden days we just used a cloth nappy folded over...lol
I have seem some just made with 2 layers of flannelet, some made with toweling on the top and flannelet on the back..
Which ones to you find the best ?
Also roughly what size to you find the best ?

Toweling ,backed with flannelet ?
2 layers of flannelet
3 layers of flannelet?
Size
Many thanks for any help.

I still use cloth nappies! :) They're great - wash up well, lovely and soft! I think they're a great size - fold up easily for transport and don't take up too much room in the wash... go through about 4 a day with spit ups!

I'm the same as Plumie. Muslins for me too! I purchased 2 beautiful looking burp cloths and I only used 1 of them once and that was it. Never to be used again. To me thats the one item I didn't need to purchase. But if you're keen on making them then make them nice and soft, so I would assume flannel would be nicer than toweling. ;)

Muslin Cloth for me! The bigger the better :) DD has had some major throwing up sessions and the Muslin Cloth has always mopped up well ;) Unfortunately I am not a fan of the ones which you have mentioned below, so not much help on that front!
