I was advised I buy or rent a TENS machine for the early stage of my labor, has anyone used one? Did it actually offer any relief?

Also, does anyone have one that I could borrow or rent off them, from mid Feb to early March?

I liked mine, and found that I stayed at home a lot longer with it on to keep me occupied. I saw one in the Boots at Wafi, so maybe you could look there.

Not sure whether it actually helped but as nixdxb says I found it REALLY helped having something to focus on and dials that i had to keep twiddling. Gave me a focus which certainly helped.

Hi EDF8 I have a NHS Approved one which I purchased from the UK. Used it for my 1st labour and thought it was brilliant. Haven't given birth without so can't compare. However, I am selling mine as my family is now complete :) If you are interested in purchasing it then please leave me your email address or contact number and I will email you back with more details. Hi EDF8, I used a TENS machine for both my labours. I can't compare to a labour without but I had 2 'easy' intervention-free and drug-free labours. Maybe I would have had the same experience without the TENS, who knows, but there is no harm using it so why not :) I liked having some control (even if it was only the illusion of controll!) over the beginning of my labour, and having something to think about and focus on. Can't help you with where to hire one in Dubai, though, as my children weren't born here.
