Is the location on SZR any different than the one in the Greens? Is it bigger or better?

Wondering if its worth checking out...

Thanks

What bugs me the most is the location.. I live in Mirdiff and have to go all the way to Oasis Center to buy my bread. And now they open in Jumeirah. I wish something a little closer would open up :(:(:(

Thats funny - I much prefer the cafe in this new skh zayed store. I find it light and cosier because I hated the large noisy mall atmosphere in dubai mall. I had quite a good breakfast there the other day but not on the 20% off day. It was too full that day so did not bother. Its true the aisles at gluten free section are narrow - I parked my trolley next to the large deli counter to avoid that...

Third Friday and Saturday are both discount days now. I headed down to the new location on SZR last Friday eager to check it out. I usually shopped at the DM location so I was very excited about the move. Buying groceries with two kids at the Dubai mall is massively inconvenient. I must say I was very disappointed with the new store and cafe. It was not busy at all and parking was a breeze which was great but other than that it was horrible. Dinner at the cafe was lacking in every aspect. The play area is gone. The menu is smaller. It is not cozy like the old cafe. The service and the food was horrible. The store is set up poorly. It is smaller than DM. They were out of stock for most of the things I needed and they had no idea when they were receiving new stock. Prices were not only not lowered but it seemed as though some had even gone up. I used to look forward to my big monthly shop and trip to the cafe. Sad I know but it is the little things. I was so excited for the new location - perhaps why I was so disappointed. This was just my review but hopefully not everyone has such a bad experience. Is it at the old Capri Sun place on SZR edited by daisydai on 20/03/2013 Yes, right beside the RIDE Bike shop. edited by daisydai on 20/03/2013

Coins are a thing of the past! Well...I am happy to revisit this after trying to use the system early on. It was a complete fiasco and I got two parking tickets after "thinking" I had paid by SMS.

Purple, did you notice if they have juicers/power blenders? If it's nothing to write home about on the SZR location, I'd just as soon buy my salt from the one in the Greens lol. I never "browse" there. They have omega juicers/blenders in the SZR store =) I believe Omegas are THE top of the line for juice extraction w/o damaging the enzymes, would love to get one of those. Already have it picked out, same one from home. However. As of late I have been researching the elusive Vitamix, which I'm pretty sure is what the smoothies shops use to crush ice, liquify everything perfectly, or at least it's similar. I like the idea of not losing the pulp and having it ground right in a smoothie! But holy cow, so expensive here compared to the US. (Omega juicers are also double the price). I wonder if the Omega blenders would be less than Vitamix (300 dhs) and still achieve what I am looking for. I vow to start juicing again this year!

I really hate having to pay for parking. Not so much because of the cost, but the inconvenience of having to walk to the machine, pay in coins (which I don't always have) and back to the car...in the stifling heat. Coins are a thing of the past! you don't need them anymore. You can either do:- Text 7275 Plate Number SPACE AREA CODE (on parking meter) SEND You will get an immediate reply saying when your parking expires. Ten minutes before it expires you will receive an SMS asking if you want to extend. OR you can use your NOL card (Metro/bus). We need a new thread for things like this!!!

Don't like the location at all. I really hate having to pay for parking. Not so much because of the cost, but the inconvenience of having to walk to the machine, pay in coins (which I don't always have) and back to the car...in the stifling heat. It is also an extremely busy road, and backing out is quite hair raising. Has anyone tried pushing a loaded trolly on the sidewalk? It is slanted for drainage, and the trolley is forever trying to roll it's way into the main road. Makes transferring items to the car quite a challenge!

Does anyone know what the parking is like at the new one? I go to The Greens and with the parking there normally have to push my trolley out on to the road to pack my groceries in to my car. I always have my young children with me and hate having to step out on to the road with them. Also are there a few more staff for packing etc? I find it pretty useless at The Greens, there is very rarely anyone packing. I do big shops there so it's unload groceries at one end and packing as fast as I can at the other because there is very little room and often people waiting. Which wouldn't actually be hard but my baby in the front pack and other little ones to keep an eye on makes it a bit trickier. Compared to yesterday at Spinneys, someone unpacked my trolley and someone packing at the other end, nice.

I dont know why their set up is always so narrow, or maybe it just seems that way as I only ever go when its busy, lol. Didnt notice a thing as so busy I didnt browze, sorry :P

It's only an admin office. No organic cafe on SZR. I'm not a fan! Its a new store, its next to Oasis center (between oasis center and their offices actually). Ive been , its ok, not as big as Dubai mall obviously, Cant compare to Greens one as only been twice, lol. Another one opening in jumeirah soon too.

Yes, definitely a new cafe/store and not just admin. I'm guessing that it's taking over, as it were, from the closed Dubai Mall store, so imagine it would be of a similar size? Haven't been in yet, but looks quite large from the outside. I wonder what the parking would be like too?

Hmmm, really? I thought they closed down the Dubai Mall location and added two, including the one next to Oasis Centre on SZR. see this [url='>http://www.organicfoodsandcafe.com/[/url'> I have some staples I always purchase @Organics, but the Greens is close to me. I'd like to hear, too, if anyone has been to the new one and whether or not it has more offerings than the Greens.

Have seen it in passing only and it definitely looked bigger from outside. Maybe somebody who has been there could help you?
