Does anybody know where you can get the latest propoints weight watchers meals and products, at the best prices?

Spinneys does a small expensive range, but all the products are not of the new propoint system.

TIA

I contacted Weight Watchers Uk about starting a group over here. They replied and ssaid this not one of the countries they a re interested in starting WW such a shame. Maybe we should just run a support group and weigh in each week. Boo Hoo ACB I think this is a good idea... I definitely need support!

Lulu Al Barsha always carried a decent range of WW frozen meals in the stand up fridge section between the seafood and icecreams. They were the US foods not the UK foods (red box not purple) so I would still run them through your online calculator as I know that on the old points system there was a slight change between the US, UK, Aus calculations. Spinneys at the Marina sold the UK WW versions of pasta sauce, sweet & sour, chilli con carne, korma and tikka sauces, beans, spaghetti, frozen chips, frozen mash, some frozens desserts and cheesecakes, muffins and cakes. I remember that when I left 3 months ago the pro points stuff was starting to show on the shelves but that 3/4 was still the old system. Geants and Carrefour MOE had the Australian WW fruit bars, fruit & nut bars, hot chocolate and biscuits (blue and white packaging) but they were all the old points calculations. *nb. I was a WW Leader in Australia before coming to Dubai so I took note of where products were sold although I rarely bought them. HTH

I have the complete new pro points at home plan for sale if any one wants it. Premium pack includes everything to use on the pro plan points calulator, pedometer cook book, tracker complete folder explaining the diet. I ordered two packs by mistake so have this one if anyone wants to buy it off me. Cost 89.00 pounds in the Uk. Brilliant sysytem. I find weight watchers is the only way to lose weight, not feel deprived of anything combined with a bit of excerise the pounds fall off you in a sensible manner. Hope this can help someone else. I have lost 1 1/2 stone so far. ACBxx Yes please just let me know how much

Thanks Fizzywizz - I am finding it quiet hard without the WW foods, as I did this diet before in the UK and relied heavily on the "tasteless, overpriced, small portion sizes and full of preservatives" :) I do agree though I am enjoying making food from scratch, I have more time here to do it, I work better hours than in the UK! Thanks for advise about weighing the bread, I always forget that bit!

As a long term ww'er on the old and new system you really just have to be sensible and look for the closest substitute like has been suggested on this thread already with cumberland sausage. So pollydxb, if you put in the online tracker 'white bread' there is a farmhouse option comes up. As long as you weigh the slice/slices you are having you just use that option and enter the weight in gramm. Its as accurate as you can be. We are certainly not as pampered here as they are in the UK in terms of having NV's on food. However even if I was in the UK I wouldnt touch ww products-they're tasteless, overpriced, small portion sizes and full of preservatives. I much prefer to cook from scratch-you get a lot more for your points. Plus the new propoints system is not a fan of carbs-they're high in ProPoints-but it does favour protein and dairy. Good luck

Love this thread, started the WW pro points kick off on Tuesday, after sisters hen weekend back in the UK, have 5 kg to lose by beginning of October - before the wedding and getting into my bridesmaid dress! I wondered does anybody have any idea what the points value is for the farmhouse bread small loaf at spinneys is? TIA

Just seen some propoints stuff in Spinneys, but only some jar stuff like sweet and sour. I too am doing Weight Watchers and are searching hi and lo for products. Must of the supermarkets do various items, not cheap though. I have only found in the frozen ready meals, ocean pie and wild salmon and potato wedges. Not all the items are in the diet sections, but dotted around i.e. sauces in jars in the normal section. Good luck. If you find any other frozen meals, please let me know. If you check on the weight watchers website it gives you the new propoints value for all the products

Yebo, when there is nothing listed I try to make a guess from what is listed, eg.last night I had Cumberland sausage from Spinneys and just used the point allocated to ASda extra special Cumberland sausage. I have lost almost 5kg in 5 weeks and really happy with progress. hoping to lose another 3! Good luck

Not available in Dubai. Dont know why they are so behind here with dietfood. Heaven knows this country needs it! Tell me about it! Trying to get rid of the 8kg's I have put on here in last 3 years and it is so hard going! Got to lose at least 2 hopefully 3kg before 2nd weekend in April. I am refusing to buy a new dress for a wedding, I will fit into the one I have - comfortably - I will! :)

You can convert the nutrition values of the food to the new propoints system if you are a WW online member. Even better if you have an iPhone as their app is fantastic to keep track of your daily intake and calculating points!
