Hello. please help: it s soooo heartbreaking to see my 2 months old suffering GERD! She was finally prescribed Nexium but it s a mess to administer it (too thick for the bib although mixed with my milk, not a thicker formula, and apparently bad taste). How do YOU do please? TIA

Yes, we tried osteopathy, but to be honest, I didn't see any real improvement. We went for 3 sessions. I'm really not a fan of medication either, but I much prefer to see him a happy baby, rather than screaming in pain. Did Dr Kathrin say why she wants to take her off the Nexium so quickly? I will ask our doc when we go for next appointment what her thought are

Hi Eireann, interesting... I m taking her to Dr Kathrin. I gave her the last doses every other day instead of every day and "throat" pain started again:-( I might buy a new box of Nexium very soon...although no fan of medication. Still hope the osteopath will do a miracle soon:-) Have you tried osteopathy?

Hi IIeeaa, I wouldn't be in a rush to stop giving it to your little lady if its working for her - I know friends who's little ones were on Nexium for over 1 year. My little man is taking it for over 1 month now and his doc doesn't have any immediate plans to take him off it. He is a different baby since he started to take it. How is your little lady doing? What doc are you taking her to?

Hi Eireann, thank you for your reply! In the meantime I found out a good way to give Nexium. the same as you:-) It helps... My babygirl has been taking it for approx.3weeks now and ped said up to 4. I m a bit afraid to stop. how long have your little man have been taking it?

Hi Ileeaa, My little man is also taking 10mg nexium daily. It has worked wonders for him. I mix it with 10ml water and then use a syringe to give it to him. He sucks it back, loves the taste of it. He's a totally different baby since he started to take it. Good luck!
