I think the school you're referring to is Dovecote Green Primary School in the Green community. It's open now but only one class. It will open properly next September.

I was talking to friend of mine who works in education publishing. We were wondering how they would open the school in September if the land is not even purchased yet. She told me that there is an empty school for sale in the green community, she said it's a lovely school. Could be an option. If it's up there I'm not going, the traffic is horrible!

It will be from FS1 (Foundation) from Sept 2016. Did you know that they are implementing debentures starting at the new school? 25,000dhs for all new students and then the existing primary students that start in Year 7 onwards.

We should know early next term as in the summer one. From what we have been told new school will be FS1 up to Year 7 at first and then eventually go up to Year 13. I believe that once this school opens (hopefully Sept 2016!!) then the existing site in Jebel Ali village & the school near Muntazah compound will close. Will the new school start at FS1 or reception ? My daughter is on the list for 2017 but if they're doing FS1 it'll be 2016 that she's due to start. <em>edited by Fe24 on 29/03/2015</em>

Green Community has also been mentioned! Guess they can't really call it Jebel Ali if it's based no-where near JA :) Though there are branches of Jebel Ali nursery nowhere near Jebel Ali and for a while even the original Jebel Ali nursery was not open in Jebel Ali, JESS at Arabian Ranches has kept the original name too. I wonder if another school will open on the Muntazah site.

Someone else also mentioned Green Community to me as the new location. Green community is near DIP. Not long till we find out! I feel sorry for those parents who have been forced to pay a deposit one week before they announce their relocation.

=( Our plan was to eventually move to GC and have our LO's in JAPS. However, we found an amazing villa in jumeirah 2 (just finished some renovations) and I'm thinking of having my LO in JESS AR. I am so confused.I dont know if I want to live in the heart of Jumeirah and enjoy being close to everything. Spending time going on school runs, etc. etc. OR should I move to the quiet suburbs in GC and have our LO's in a school nearby? It's so frustrating and hard to decide!!!!!! I love GC so much but every time I go there, i just feel like its so far. I

FYI.... as a parent of the school we have not been told the location yet and won't find out before the end of term! The board have informed us that they have land but are still negotiating on the price, so they don't want to tell us as that may drive up the cost. All we know is that its not the existing English Primary school site or down the Al Ain road but it will be close to popular residential areas.
