Does anyone know of anywhere I can get one of these, either store bought or custom made, in Dubai? I've seen some online from Australia or US but the cost of shipping is way too much!
Hi, I was wondering if you have found one.

This may be a solution: DH fitted a cat flap to a piece of MDF wood and then he fitted that in the open sliding door. Put 2 wooden blocks of wood each side so no one can force the door open. Its easy to move if you go to another villa. We have ours installed in the kitchen patio door but luckily we have two other doors that lead out to the garden. Can send you photo if needed?

Alternatively . . . had a similar problem in another country. We custom installed a cat flap in one of the kitchen windows (not over the counters), and put a small table outside and shelf inside for ease of access. Kitty was quick to figure it out, and everyone was happy. :)

Hello I was told you can get something like this from ACE hardware but I've not looked into it yet. Let me know if you find something as I have the same problem!

Unfortunately it's a single pane.....so that won't work ? That would have been a good solution! Maybe measure it an order from Australia, that may be the only option.

Is your door one large pane of glass or separate ones? Some of my neighbours had the bottom pane taken out and replaced with one which included a cat flap, then had it reversed when they moved out.

dubaipetfood.com has cat / dog flaps. I got my rfid one from amazon and shop n shipped it. Unfortunately a cat flap isn't any use. It's a glass patio door so there's no way I can fit a flap. (And I doubt my landlord would appreciate it anyway!) I need something that can actually be inserted between the door and the frame, with the cat flap fitted (and which we can remove if we actually want to open the door. I can't think if any other way to allow the cats access to the outside when we aren't home, as its a ground floor apartment so I can't leave a window open
