King Charles are nice little woofits.
I went through a breeder in Gautang who I am now very friendly with. She and her husband came to visit us here last year.
My stepson, step daughter live in SA and they found 2 or 3 breeders for scotties but some breeders are not happy to ship outside SA.
Are you from SA or do you need any help finding a reputable breeder as my Scottie friend shows her scotties there and they are champions but would know other breeders there for the breed you want.
It was the state vet from SA who stopped my little scottie coming at 3 months; SA states 4 months before export.
If I can be of any help let me know.

Thank you Ladies for this wealth of information!
I'm looking at a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Have contacted some breeders and hope to find a puppy when we are out there in August. They don't have flat faces and are nice and small so the EK flight should not be a problem.
Depending then on the puppy's age we will either be able to take her with us straight away of we'll have to wait until she is old enough.
SSarah, did you go directly through a breeder or was your Scottie already your dog?
As SSarah says, it's very easy to sort out the paper work needed from this side. EK seem to be relatively cheap with their costs but just bear in mind that they do not carry certain breeds (flat faced)! There is also a list of dogs that by law are not allowed to be brought into the UAE. Hope your new pup doesn't fall under those! best of luck with his or her move!
I bought in a Scottie from SA. Petwings were used from that side. He came in on an EK flight. We did the paperwork this side; it is very easy and painless and cheaper. We went to EK Cargo and picked him up with no problem. He/she must be 4 months old before he travels.
Whilst waiting for the vet this side to sign him off as a live import I was allowed through to talk to him.
call Dubai Kennel and Cattery - http://www.dkc.ae/ they have a wealth of information to make a start..
We used them for the Dubai side of things, our UK vet was very au fait with the process so we were able to just arrange the shipping from that side quite easily, I can only speak with UK experience but there are several companies that can arrange the shipment of animals. DKC is a good place to start.

I know that for some this is a touchy subject and I know there are many wonderful mixed breed dogs up for adoption, but my DH and I have decided to get a pure-bred. I have been in contact with a reputable breeder in SA and we will be going there in a couple of weeks and be able to pick out a puppy.
I am wondering what the procedure is to get the puppy back here?
It's a small breed dog so am I allowed to take it on board with me?
What do I need to bring the dog into the UAE?
TIA!
