Lots of shops at Times Square have closed. It's never ever busy, except during the craft souk. We go there for the Fun Square play area, that's all. One of the weird things about it is that you can get to the car park and see lots of cars and think "Wow, it's busy today", and then you get into the actual mall area itself and it's as dead as it normally is.

It is the type of mall where you go to if you have a specific reason to go there. the outdoor shop, the DG Sharaf, the Toy Store are all good if that is what you are looking for. I've been to 2 birthday parties at the Fun Square and I thought it was nice and clean and not overcrowded. The outdoor shop has a climbing wall and sky track which is nice to keep the older kids busy for a while (dhs50 for 30mins) The food court is not good at all. The ARTE craft souk is held there once a month (starts again in Sept). It's worth a visit. It is not the type of mall where you go to while away the time...

The sheer size of the DG Sharaf makes it worthwhile for us to go there if we're after electricals or gadgets. As Cleo said though, not much else unless you're into outdoor persuits.

The Toys r us shop is a decent size. In addition you have a massive DG Sharaf and an outdoor adventure shop, that sells anything from camping to diving etc. apart from that, there isn't really much else, a couple of no name shops.
