Hi guys! I am planning for the new year's eve. I am from Abu Dhabi and I don't know which place is better. Which hotel has good atmosphere for New Year's Eve? Is it Qamardeen or Al Manzil (Downtown), or Rose Rayhaan (SZR)?

Thanks!

qamardeen all the way! it's a beautiful hotel and really over-looked by people i think. it has a lovely restaurant downstairs and their lobby lounge in the main reception is gorgeous - does wine and cheese nights weds-sat which are amazing!

Qamardeen is better in every way! It`s in the downtown and you can walk to Dubai Fountain to watch the show and fireworks, thousands of people will be in that area. Many will be stuck in traffic for 5 hours and won`t make it (like last year). But you won`t have to drive, all ''the happening'' places are in a walking distance from your hotel! Souk Al Bahar is right there with plenty of nice restaurants with outdoor terrace and NYE program. Must be booked in advance-better now. Some of the best hotels will be in your area too and you can spent NYE there if you like. The Palace, The Adress, BK...all are fancy and atmospheric. Rose Rayhaan will be boring! Traffic on Shkh.Zayed Rd. will be solid and you won`t be able to get out of the hotel if you get bored. HTH Didn`t notice you mentioned Al Manzil, it shares the same prime location with Qamardeen and the Palace, so i would also recommend it. edited by Wild Mint on 25/10/2011

I don't know if it is important to you or not but the Rose rayhann is a "dry" hotel.
