So, good luck, Sadubai... wish you will find some place that you can make into a home! I do love those Sh Ahmed villas, they have a great layout and garden, and their maintenance is responsive. A friend of mine is living in there, very happily so.

Thanks Crystals. Yes, the same Sheikh Ahmed. Our last rental was a building which was due to be torn down and a 1-year lease turned into a 7.5 year stay so we may be willing to take that risk! Yes, I'd heard that Wasl Villas will be ready Feb. That could work for us at a pinch if we love it tho ideally I'd wanted to move in in Jan.

If you are talking about the Sh Ahmed Compound between Park n Shop & Safa Park, I know they usually are very much occupied; you could check with Mohd Kurshid at 04-345 1111. Please be aware that they had been marked to be torn down almost 3 years ago, but this decision was postponed due to the recession. The new Al Wasl Square (townhouse compound) is located between this Sh Ahmed compound and Safa Park, and looks as if it could be ready by Feb.

Hi, I'd posted separately about single-storey villas and this post was to check if anyone is living in Sheikh Ahmed Villas or is aware whether one will come available in December-January? Any ideas what the community is like? Also, someone reco'ed a new development called Wasl Villas which will be ready Feb - has anyone seen these?
