Hi. Does anyone know where I can buy a waxing kit? You know... where you sit the little tin of wax on the base that keeps it warm? That kind. Not the roll on kind.
Thanks very much.

I bought my electric wax warmer from nazih. They have a branch in Barsha mall, one on shiekh zayed rd and a few other branches. They also sell the little metal tubs of wax. I usually buy the blue tub - rica brand (it's made in italy) occasionally I buy other flavors of wax some are good and some are too adventurous (avocado, chocolate, banana, lemon, coconut, olive, orange, strawberry) I also buy rolls of wax strips from nazih, the roll is cheaper than the pre cut strips and lasts much longer.

Hi. I know exactly what you mean as I have one too. I have not seen any of the warming pots here however you can buy the wax to put in the warmer at any supermarket, both strip and 'hot' which you peel off. I brought mine with me and suggest you do too. Also bring the wooden spatulas too as I have not seen any here either.

We are moving to Dubai from Ireland in 2 weeks. I have a wax kit, but its big and old and so was wondering if it is possible to buy a kit in Dubai? I could order a compact one before I come and bring with me....but I just thought I'd see if it were possible to get one there.... By kit I mean the wax heater, wax etc

Thanks Apricot. I think I know what you're talking about... I think that type is meant to be put in the microwave isn't it? Will have a look out for it. Many thanks.

It is highly dangerous to heat wax in a microwave, due to uneven heat distribution in a microwave oven. The wax can set on fire..Sorry to be a pain, but I wouldn't like anyone to get hurt!!

You can get this kind of wax in any supermarket near the hair removing creams and womens razors. I have bought these in the past and just put into the microwave at very low power to warm through before use.

Oh! Maybe it's a plastic tub on a warming base. Not sure. All I mean is I don't want the roll-on kind. I want to be able to apply with a spatula.

I've only ever seen hair-removing wax sold in plastic tubs in Dubai, not metal tins. In the States I used to empty out the contents of a plastic tub of wax into an electric pot-pouri warmer for at-home waxing. Never heard of/ seen the metal tin sat on an electric warming base...
