My boys are going to go in their England football team kits of course, but what about my 5 year old girl? She doesn't have an England football kit. Any ideas?

mine doesn't have football kit but happened to have a pyjama top with England written on the front and the flag on the back plus i found a pair of shorts with a union jack design!! Found an England baseball cap and that was it !! Last year he was big enough to borrow his brother's England shirt but wore the same shorts again lol Basically, if you search through their wardrobe you might find things with England or Union Jacks on...though personally i love the Queen idea :-) Useful note for all the posts we get from ppl moving here - when they ask if there's anything they should bring ppl often suggest packing anything with your country's flag etc as it comes in handy for National Day dress-up...

Just thought of another one- a "Keep Calm & Carry On" sign or a Tube logo.... kinda British (easy to make too)

Well, she could go as an English settler off to the New World... with an Old Timey English flag... then you get the 'Jane Austen look' with a bit of 'national' thrown in :p edited by SkyKitty on 31/01/2012

Thanks ladies - fab ideas. Supposed to be 'national dress' - so not sure going as Jane Austen would count, although that's my favourite! Might just go with flag colours - bit boring but only have 2 days!

She could go in the England team football kit too? We've only got a club team kit so my 6 year old is just going in England colours. Last year she went as the Queen. Big dress, tiara, handbag. Gloves would have topped it off but I couldn't find any.

A london guard (the ones with furry hats) An English storybook character Jane Austen Flag dress (tasteful of course) Dress like Princess Kate?? (replica rings in New Look) Hmm, tricky. edited by SkyKitty on 31/01/2012

You can go to the Beach Mall (Jumeirah Beach Rd) There's a costume shop there. I found a medieval outfit for my girl there. Hope it helps :) (I think the shop is upstairs?) All the best
