My daughter went to Rising Stars and loved it. Theyt have a very strong programme for pre-school, very structured. Loved that it had a home feeling; not every day was a special day like in other nurseries where kids are crawling under special events! Loved that they had a very good mix of activities and as well letting the kids develop by playing and discovering things by themselves. Very good techers as well. Have friends whose kids went to Oasis - Liked it as well but always said they were less proactive with kids and parents. For example in the morning we always had the teacher welcoming the parents at the class door in Rising Stars, always standing and a nice word for everybody - Heard and witnessed in Oasis that teachers sat there and were less welcoming. May seem a detail but for me spoke a lot re. politeness and general rules of behaviour for kids to witness. Good luck with your search.

Regarding Cocoon's island, well, when I was touring it, I saw two male workers fixing the tiles of the classroom ( with some kind of glue) while the kids were eating their lunch in the same classroom!!!! That shocked me! My child attends the uum suqeim branch of Children's Oasis. edited by Proudmama012 on 09/07/2012

I also second Children's Oasis, fantastic teachers and very warm environment. I toured almost all nurseries, and I like Children's Oasis the most:) My child never cried there from day 1:) I am a very overprotective mum and this nursery has given me peace of mind!! The problem is with Children's Oasis is that waitlists can be massive, so you have to write down ur child ASAP and be flexible with their timings until you get a place. As for the other two, I did not visit rising stars, but I toured Cocoon's Island and I advise you to stay away from them! Good luck Thx. I would also like to know why you advise me to stay away from Cocoons Island? In which branch from Childrens Oasis have you been?

Children's Oasis is amazing! we have been with them for 6 years (2 children) and they have been caring and loving every single day for the past 6 years. The teachers are fantastic, the school is cheerful, and the kids feel loved and are well taken care of. Would not hesitate in recommending this nursery to mums who need a piece of mind, and an environment where the kids learn, grow and make good friends.

Children's Oasis is excellent. I'm a teacher and I spent ages trawling round nurseries being far too fussy. Some were dirty, some just uninspiring. Children's Oasis is fun and vibrant. My daughter has just "graduated" from there and I really can't say a bad word about them. I can't comment on the other two, sorry.

My son was at Rising Stars this past year and loved it. The staff is friendly and experienced and I never had any problems. He is 4 so was with the oldest kids. He made a couple of great friends and loved going to "school". My only concern was that he had 3 different teachers in one year. The first went on maternity leave, the second was the nursery's head teacher who only covered until they found a good replacement so she still works at the school, and then the third I understand will not be returning next year. I don't believe this high turnover to be the nursery's fault and it didn't bother my son as he was older but could be a concern for younger child. HTH

Hi, Can't help with rising Star or Children's Oasis but can highly recommend Cocoon. Established, experienced staff, great learning environment, great communication between parents & teachers and also between admin staff and parents so I felt I was kept in the loop all the time and knew what was happening on a daily basis with my child. dd loved it there and so did I :) hth

Don't know about rising star or cocoon but we have been with children's oasis for 8 years (2 children) and have loved every minute of it. great, great staff, caring, with a great sense of humour and always have time for parents. facilities are good, although I am sad to leave before they move to their new location. they offer cover during the holidays which is very helpful for a working mum. I felt that my kids were genuinely loved, nurtured and appreciated there. Sad to be leaving it now...
