Just received a call from DH, we've got a trip planned to London from 01-15 March. However he's been asked to postpone it so we would be there from 08-22 March. I am 27 weeks on Wednesday and would be 30 weeks around the 15th and 31 weeks around the 22nd. I know I need a letter to fly, but wanted advice from you ladies if this would be okay? DH has promised me an upgrade on the way back, but I don't want to end up stuck in the UK... I will phone Emirates tomorrow and ask about the official rules, but would appreciate feedback from ladies who have taken a trip this late in their pregnancies. TIA!!

The flight letter that I will get from my Dr here is only valid for one week, so I will need to get one from a Dr or midwife in the UK. Am not from the UK but hoping my friend can get me an appointment with her Dr (will obviously have to pay for it). I had a look and emirates says you can no longer fly without proper medical certificate (rather then letter) after 36 weeks, so I'm still well within those dates. Just worried about being uncomfortable and/or not getting the okay from Dr in the UK... Maybe I'm just being overcautious?

.....actually mine was a one way flight so i see what you are saying about being able to fly back, incase they are not as flexible letting you back on in uk. maybe call emirates office in uk or at the airport to see exactly what they will need for you to fly. will they accept your uae doctors note or would you would need to get a letter that end from a uk doctor, dated more recently...? def best to call. and maybe even get them to email confirmation so you have it in writing from emirates before you fly.

I flew to London in 2011 when I was 34 weeks as I wanted to have my dd in uk. I had a letter from the doctor, though they didn't ask to see it. the flight was ok, bit uncomfortable but bearable. i wore some of those socks for dvt (you can buy them in boots) and moved around a lot.
