New Salik Gate on 311?
I had to drive past the construction twice to realize that the pillars that are being built on the road near the Mirdif city center look exactly like the ones of the Salik toll gates! Spoke to a friend who lives close by that told me that she heard that they will have a Salik gate there. Dubai government apparently wanted to have it there a while ago but Abu Dhabi refused as the "Emirates Road" was meant to be a free road to connect this country. But now after the name change they apparently received the go head!
I thought they implemented those two Salik gates in the Airport tunnel and Al Mamzar to make people use 311. What's the reason for this one? I really hope I am wrong. But it just looks like a Salik Gate to me! Anybody knows about this? I can't find anything that confirms it.
