Hi ladies i'm looking for a good reasonably priced date shop
I need about 20 1-1.5kg boxes or small gift packs for presents I have heard places in ajman and sharjah sell these but unfortunately this is a bit to far for me as I need them soon
anyone know of any places around Dubai or barsha area. I can get nice lil boxes

Try bateel, the best quality dates in nice boxes. For cheap ones, I just got some good ones in Carrefour for 18 dirhams, box is not nice though.

are you traveling with these? The first time i went home after moving here; i bought about 10 x 1 kg packs of dates to take home; it wasn't until i got to check in that i realized that this is actually 10kg of dates.... i know blonde or what. Bateel are the best dates - also try Kingdom dates; i believe there is a shop in Mankool somewhere but just google.

Union and carrefour have some lines that are packaged nicely and that size. You'll probably find them more now as people are always gifting them in Ramadan.

Bateel is my favourite but it's $$$ Next to Bateel in Souk al Bahar there is a great shop that sells dates, nuts, dried fruits, arabic sweets, very pretty presentations in boxes. Otherwise, I would head to Jumeirah and Satwa areas
