Looking to find the local/arab traditional toothbrush called miswaq. I don't have time to drive all over looking, and I seem to recall that the gas stations used to sell them -- does anyone know? Thanks.

Thanks so much everyone. I'll swing by a Zoom on way to airport! I'll be gone for about 5 months - but will log on when I can to keep up. Best wishes to everyone.

There is an Islamic bookstore just off Al Wasl road opposite Safa Park. They have them as well.

You can buy miswak at most petrol pumps as well as any grocery. It usually comes in a small packet containing one stick. Also, Lulu sells miswak toothpaste - I guess a modern alternative.
