Hi Ladies,
I was just wondering if any of you have their child(ren) enrolled in the American School of Creative Science in Sharjah. I know this a new school but I would appreciate any feedback I can get about the school.
Thank you in advance.

Any new experiences/opinions about the Creative Science schools? Have the best teachers been moved from the British section to the American section?

All my four kids are at Creative Sciences but not the American branch; they are at the British school branch which has been around for a much longer time; the American branch hasnt been open long, one or two years. My kids have been at ISCS for five years, with a gap in the middle since my husband was not happy with the academic standard and put them in Wesgreen. None of them settled at Wesgreen and missed their friends so they all returned to ISCS. The school (British branch, I cant speak for the American) is very strong on Arabic and all Arabic-speaking subjects and there is Quran four times a week. The English-speaking subjects are certainly weaker than at Wesgreen but I would say by about ten per cent, depending on the teacher. My youngest son's English teacher is excellent, actually much better than at Wesgreen. It is a very religious school, which you may be happy with or may be not. In terms of environment it is an extremely safe place for your kids and they are very protected and they do feel protected (something they didnt feel at Wesgreen). It has a nice family atmosphere, we feel everyone cares about us even if some arent top notch teachers. In all the five years with four kids I have not had one instance of bullying or such like. The activities arent great but there are a few. My oldest son is about to leave and all in his class are very close and socialise outside of school, the teachers are really great with the boys and really seem to understand all the teenage stuff and try to teach them about life etc and give a little more than just education. The religious side used to have a salafi bent but I feel that is lessening these days. All my kids are happy there and always have been, there is a healthy mix of nationalites: Emirati, Shami, Pakistani, and a few European but really not many. People there seem to be quite well off, so you kind of get the elite of Sharjah attending (we would find the poorer cousins at Wesgreen, really). Wesgreen is better in terms of education as the teachers are from the west for all english subjects and ISCS struggles to acheive that, but wesgreen has other problems i didnt like and all in all I am happier with the kids at ISCS because of the safe environment, family feel, all Arabic subjects and with the English side you may get lucky with a good teacher. To be honest i had some terrible teachers at wesgreen so it is difficult to judge. Sorry for being vague: ask me some specific questions so i can answer better!

Hi, I'm wondering if you've found out anything about this school. I too am interested in hearing feedback. I have searched extensively to find information about ASCS, and everything I am finding seems positive, but I'd like to hear from actual parents. Thanks!
