Hi ladies any suggestions?

My 10 months old baby who has been taking mix of pureed and finger food since last week is loosing his apetite now. His first reaction to food is tightly closed mouth. Then he would take a couple of bites and that's it. He cries if I force him to eat. He has also lost his urge to drink water. He still wants food that we are eating and drinks that we are drinking but after one bite or sip he refuses again. When I feed him pureed rice with spoon, he takes it perfectly ok but then the whole day he bris out milk and food.

His poos have turned a bit soft and he is dirtying his nappy after 1 or 2 days. Although his intake of breastmilk is perfectly fine. He takes 2 feeds during the day and maybe 4-5 feeds during the night. His feeds have been like this always. No change of routine there. He does not take formula milk or feeder bottle for any drink.

He did have a very mild and normal cold with runny nose last week. But that's almost sorted now with a bit of runny and locked nose now.

I can't seem to find the cause.

Thanks for re assurance. I'll take him to doc next week. I hope it's just teething.

Sound like classical teething symptoms to me and it's normal at that age, I'd feed him what he's eating, you can add more milk to his rice cereals to make sure he's getting enough nutrients and give him more BM. Weaning before the age of 1 is for fun and not really for nutrition, he will get enough from BM I wouldn't force a baby to eat, he might develop serious food aversions later. If you're worried check with his dr
