Subsequently he worked as a registrar at Canterbury, UK and as a consultant in Regional Hospital and Galway Medical School in Ireland. He passed DLO from Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1982 and FRCS from Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1986. Dr. Kotak has vast experience in reconstructive Ear surgery with personal experience of more than 500 cases.
