Utterly disgusting!!! We, as adults, would never walk into a public restroom barefoot so the thought of those children sitting on the floor, touching the floor and putting their hands in their mouth is horrendous! Take it up with the Nursery, the Polo Club itself and I'd even consider taking it further than that if you can (?)

No you are definitely not overreacting, cause that is the main reason why I did not put my DD in that room they called it " nursery".I did not want to put my DD in a room with a public bathroom!!That nursery at the polo club hired this room only for weekdays, and since of course no toilet facilities in that room ( it is part of the restaurant, yes you can take a look at it on weekends and you see no sign of a nursery, just tables), children have to use the public bathroom of the polo club!! I really have no idea how they got their license for such a nursery! mind you, check their fees!!

Right. My sweet little, very CLEAN angel goes to that nursery (and is definitely in the class you are referring to), and while she is past the changing nappies phase, I do want to bring this up to her teacher ... any recommendations how to do that??? Just say it outright - perhaps print out this thread.....

I'm sure this is pretty standard in many places . We all know that many of the carers, nannies, whatever you call them come from places that have very different standards, values etc.

Am glad you all feel the same way I do. I just thought that there is no way that I would like my child to be sitting on a public bathroom floor, so why should someone elses? Don't get me wrong, my DD plays with our dogs and plays on the floor at home, but thats our home and I would never consider putting her on the bathroom floor, even though it is clean!

I think this should definitely be brought to light...parents should be made aware...aside from sitting on dirty floors, its also a serious health hazard for young kids to sit on cold floors!!! Im assuming parents are paying money for their kids to be properly looked after and not left lying around like laundry!! In my personal opinion you're definitely not overreacting, and here's to hoping that some of the parents of those kids read this thread!
