hi guys. just moved to dubai 6 months ago and brought enough of these with me to last a while, i was hoping once they ran out i'd no longer need them! now thinking i'd like some more to wean myself off them even more slowly! is it just a matter of going to see doctor and getting a prescription? is it expensive here?
any advice would be much appreciated
thanks

Yes. Only available thru prescription. I got my open-ended (ie not dated) script ages ago from Dubai Community Health Centre. Cost was quite steep, no insurance company will cover psychiatric meds here. Think upwards of Dhs 180/ box.

I believe it's prescription only. I know someone taking the same and they see Dr. Hany Shafy at the Dubai Mall Medical Centre - they have a pharmacy within the clinic that has them in stock. I'm not sure on the cost though.

From what I understand they are on the controlled list, which means they can only be obtained with a doctor's prescription. I have no idea how much they cost though.

Go to the local pharmacy and ask. Alot of POM are available over the counter here althoug with regards to the nature of these tablets you may possibly need a prescription from a DR. The pharmacies can advise :-)
