I have just finished a course with ITEC at Knowledge Village - 2 evenings a week for 4 weeks - total 15 hours to learn basic conversational arabic - I got mine through Gonabit a while a go but they are doing a 50% off offer at the moment http://www.itec.ae/.

I did language courses at Eton. Loved it. As for Arabic, the always have subsidized courses, so its fairly cheap! Great plan to learn Arabic! Maybe I do it too one day... :)

Try Eton...I have no idea of cost as our Company paid but their instructor, Ahmed, was fantastic! Haven't taken Arabic classes from Eton but have to agree that their teachers are fabulous. Also, I got an email from them saying that they have discounted language classes [from AED 1350 to AED 600'> starting in April. Worth a check to see if Arabic classes are included in the offer.

You can check with the Sheikh Mohammed Center for Cultural Understanding [their website is http://www.cultures.ae/'>. I am not sure of what classes they are currently running but they used to have lessons in spoken Arabic that were conducted by native speakers. The sessions were in total 12-18 hours and were about AED 1250. They also had a more comprehensive class that covered reading, writing and speaking and was 40 hours of class time at AED 2350. Personally, I can recommend them because the instructors are very approachable and willing to help after-hours too. Plus they include the course materials in their course fee and its nice to have a dvd plus book to refresh the language after the duration of the session.

Thanks a lot Nels. They're a little bit expensive for me.

You should speak to the Arabic Language Centre, at Dubai World Trade Centre. They cater for all levels either in small groups or individual classes. I'm on one of their programmes. Their teaching style is brilliant, and i'm learning lots.

Hi everybody, I would like to learn arabic very quickly. I can already write and read arabic but I have no clue about the grammar rules and I don't have enough vocabulary. Can you just give me the contact number of a good school and tell me what are the applicable fees. Thanks for your help.
