No cuddles,no cash. Get another nursery with loving affectionate teachers.

Could it be a case of not wanting trouble with abuse complaints? A friend thinks we are making too big of a deal about it and that we have transfered our feelings to our daughter. But how can we like a place where she spends 6 hours a day and they dont give her any affection?
Thanks for sharing your loving nurseries.
DS's too. Today he was crying for mommy when I went to pick him up. He was seated on the lap of an assistant teacher and another teacher was trying to talk to him.
I am very happy I am with them! Wouldnt leave my precious little bub with anyone who wont bother to cuddle him!
That´s what Im feeling and why Im thinking of looking for another nursery! For me it comes naturally to want to cuddle a sad child and I dont get why I should have to bring up such a basic need to the teachers, that they dont do it automatically tells me a lot about them and the nursery.

In my DD's nursery, crying kids get cuddles.
please share, which nursery is that?
She's at one of the Jebel Ali nurseries. There are often one or two kids getting a cuddle because they are sad that mom left.
Im not blaming the nursery for her crying in the morning, I just wish they would comfort her when she is sad. Its never easy leaving your crying child but its hearbreaking knowing she wont be comforted when she is sad. I will talk to the teachers about it but Im surprised I have to bring it up, I thought it would come natural for everyone (at least working with children) to want to comfort a sad child.
No, not all nurseries are "cold" as you describe. As long as she is happy, I guess that this is the important thing. Her crying is due to the emotion of leaving you and not necessarily because she is unhappy at school. Still, I can understand that it would make you feel more at ease if the staff were more demonstrative. I would speak openly with her teacher and tell her how you feel. Hope it works out!
We just moved to Dubai and my daughter goes to a nursery nearby and she says she has fun, she is proud to point out "my school" every time we pass. However, every morning she is sad and crying. The teachers have not once picked her up for some cuddles or given her a hug. Is this the norm in Dubai? In our previous country the teachers would cuddle all sad children to comfort them when being dropped off so this is totally new to me and doesnt feel right for my LO. How are your nurseries? Loving or cold?
