You just never know really. I read the horror stories and decided to only book if it's a place I've been to before. When a discount came up for a spa I've been to loads of times and really like, I booked it...and it was awful! One of the worst experiences ever, from trying to book a time, to them losing my appointment, to waiting forever at their reception for my appointment, ending with a shoddy treatment! When I paid full price for that same treatment in the past, it was excellent and I used to always recommend it to people.
Had a couple of good treatments lately at places I've never been to using a deals website so you never know!
Having heard other bad reviews,I usually steer clear of discounted facials from deal websites. I'd rather use the entertainer body book for those.
Ditto. The only time I've ever used a cobone type voucher for beauty treatments is if I've been a customer of the spa in the past and know what to expect.
Has anyone bought beauty services (like facial) via the groupon/cobone vouchers? If yes, what sort of experience did you have?
I bought a voucher for a deep cleansing facial at one of the better known saloon which was actually worth AED 450 and the discounted price was AED 200 (approx) and I was really really disappointed. I dont know if it is becoz I told them I had a voucher upfront.
I was left in the room for 15 mins initially. Then some applied and left again. Then wiped and left another steam. Painful extraction and then something applied and left to dry. I was done within 45 mins. The voucher mentioned some sort of anti aging massage etc which I dont know it was done. Now I have had deep cleansing before and I know it really takes a long time....I wouldnt pay 200 for this services forget 400....
but now I am wondering, it is really worth buying these services from these discounted sites? Any other similar experiences?
