Hi
Does anyone know whether bio-oil is available for sale in Dubai? And if so, whereabouts?
Thanks

PS In case you're not familiar with the product, it is an oil for your skin that helps heal scars quickly (I burnt myself on the oven). Here is a link to what it looks like: http://www.productreview.com.au/p/bio-oil.html

If its for burnt, Aloe vera gel is highly recommended. I got badly burnt by hot oil and there is no evidence of any burnt marks on my hands now. :)

hi there - I'm a skin camouflage specialist and the silicone sheets only lead to great results when the scar is new. They don't work too well on mature scars. I provide advice on skin camouflage products here in Dubai if anyone is interested

i had a nasty scar on my arm after a car crash and bio oil did nothing to help it, sadly, what did help were these 'scar plaster' type things that you leave on over night. you can get them in boot sin the uk, they may have them here. not cheap but they helped a lot.

Thanks everyone. Wow, 100 AED is pretty expensive comparatively! Still I believe it's good stuff. Do the Body Shop sell other aromatherapy oils too? I wouldn't mind buying a few others.

For lavendar oil, I would check at The Body Shop or Neal's Yard. You would have to check the %'s to make sure that it's pure. Lavendar is one of the very few aropatherapy oils that you can apply directly on to the skin. Most of the others need to be diluted in carrier oils.

IWOM - keep some lavender oil in your cupboard - if you burn yourself you can put this directly on your skin, and the next day you won't have any redness or blistering (see all previous threads on essential oils!). Magic stuff. Where do you get pure lavender oil here?

How much is it in Boots? is it good to lighten stretch marks? The small bottle is around 70dhs... I like it for dry skin, never had much luck with lightening scars with it.

Thank you so much! It's not a big burn, but it's just on the pale skin on the underside of my wrist so very obvious! Thanks! I wasn't sure you could get it in Dubai.

I have seen it in Boots, there are branches in MoE, Ibn Batutta, Dubai Mall etc. Hope you heal quickly.
