Christmas dinner delivered recommendations?

So, after many good suggestions about what to do this coming Christmas on my earlier thread, to make it a bit more 'home-like', we're thinking the best option is to order a turkey & all the trimmings in from a hotel. I've just called Rotana Villa hotel who quoted 600AED for two people (turkey, veg, yule log, mince pies & soft drinks), and I'm waiting to hear back from Jumeirah Beach Hotel for a quote.
Can anyone recommend any other hotels that might be able to supply us with Christmas goodness for around 600dhs? We definitely don't want to spend anymore than that. In fact, the less the better!
TIA :)

Every year we get out turkey and trimmings from JBH (you have to collect) which was always great. Last year, however, the standards seem to be slipping a bit.

Not all hotels, etc. deliver. We had to pick ours up from J.B.Hotel.

Thank you, think I might give KT's recommendation of Address Marina Mall a try, they are close to us. So hopefully it'll be hot when it arrives.

Yes its already cooked. Thats why we get them, cause it works out cheaper than buying a turkey and all the trimmings with so much less hassle. It comes hot in a foam box all wrapped in foil and stays hot. Although Im sure you could pick up a second hand microwave on Dubizzle for practically nothing if you need one for heating up leftovers. Ours fed 8 people and we were still having sandwiches for days.

I'm probably having a senior moment here, but is the food already cooked? Or raw? Does it need to be reheated (we don't have a microwave). Thank you.

We got two christmas dinners from Kempinskis (I think thats how you spell it) at Emirates mall last year. One was for a pre Christmas party with friends, and it was excellent. We collected it from the hotel. It was around 500dhs with all the veg, stuffing etc. We got the same thing on Christmas day delivered by room service and it wasnt as good. I guess it would be their busiest day, so maybe it was just rushed. We also went to a friends house that used the same one from room service, and theirs was fantastic, and they also got a ham which was lovely and deserts. Most of the hotels and golf clubs have this service, and Im sure they are pretty much the same, so I would just find one that is closest to you or get roomservice to deliver it. They only needed 24hours notice. Were going to get one delivered to have with friends again prior to christmas, just so my husband can enjoy the leftovers :)

I've got family staying this Christmas so there's no way I'm risking doing the cooking myself. I'm ordering again from The Address Dubai Marina. We used them last year + everything was deliciously done + generous quantities. Amel123 I can't remember exactly what I paid though sorry. But I would remember if I had paid a lot!

You can go onto Roomservice.ae and order your xmas lunch - they deliver alot of the hotel xmas lunches. You can order yule logs etc too. we have had a couple of xmas lunches from the Marriott at the Marina (nothing to do with Habtoor Grand) it used to be the Emirates Hotel - and it was absolutely superb but they didn't deliver we just picked it up on our way to our friends house. Most of the golf clubs seem to do turkey take out too - worth getting on the phone and seeing who is nearest to you and putting an order in although it's pretty early to place the order. It used to make me chuckle that they had no prices or details about christmas until a few weeks before! For those who want home made xmas cakes remember to go to the xmas craft fairs - there are some amazing bakers in Dubai and they make amazing xmas cakes.

I don't think the Marriott is anything to do with the Habtoor group of hotels. The Marriott in the marina is called the Marriott Harbour. The price of 600 from the Rotana sounds a good deal to me. Obviously the price charged depends on the size of the turkey. The one we had from the J.Beach a couple of years ago was a large one but only came with veggies, gravy, etc. From memory it was somewhere in the region of 800 -1000 dhs. but didn't include any sweet stuff or drinks. The Emirates or Montgomerie golf clubs are supposed to be very good.

I was recommended the Intercontinental at Festival City. I found a brochure online which seemed quite good - 4KG (4-6 people) turkey with trimmings for 450aed...but when i ordered it turned out that that was last year's brochure and they are still finalising this years (seems a bit late to me)...they are going to email me when they are ready...they also did beef and ham last year...and i was going to order these for NYs.

On another thread the Marriot Habtoor kept coming up. I googled it but not really sure what hotel this is, the Habtoor Grand Resort perhaps?
