Hi, ladies! Could someone please recommend a good clarifying shampoo which doesn't cost a fortune and where to buy it here in Dubai.

Thanks to all. Got one from Boots today and a second bottle for free. I have a dark colour build up and tried to remove it with Decolour remover, but it only made my hair 1 tone lighter, so the producer suggests I use only clarifying shampoo for 6 weeks and then try again the remover. Shall see how it works.

"Big" shampoo from Lush is good as a clarifying shampoo. I use it whenever I feel my hair has a build up of products. It feels squeaky clean afterwards.

If you prefer to avoid parabens and sulphates you could use an organic natural liquid castile soap and add a few drops of lavender, rosemary and lemon essential oils, this will leave your hair clean, beautifully soft and fragrant without it costing a fortune and keep you safe from toxic petrochemicals. You can find them in the organic store, but do read the labels if you want to avoid the parabens some claim to be "natural" and still contain the chemical nasties. Or if you don't want to bother with this just use your favourite shampoo and rinse your hair off with a dilution of apple cider vinegar and water, this is good to do here in Dubai anyway due to the high amounts of chlorine in the water that could be a factor in hair loss problems quite prevalent in Dubai. ETA. Skip the Rosemary essential oil if you are pregnant. edited by Di@DXB on 09/03/2014
