It's hit and miss, mainly a miss, I think you really need to go frequently as the stock changes but remember its nothing at all compared to outlet centers in the US. Stock is still overpriced considering they are trying to move it. And remember with any outlet shopping, the items are there for a reason ;) (tiny or xxxxxxxl sizes, unfashionable or just plain ugly lol). Interesting that the poster below found the One to have nice things. Anytime I've been in there its all damaged stock or shop soiled and still overpriced lol (its a very greedy store to start with anyway!) edited by Pomegranate on 29/12/2011

Thanks for your replies. I was hunting new sunnies and thought it might be worth a trip, but yesterday I found the perfect pair of Ray-Bans in DCC that I also got 100 AED cheaper. Anticipating the shopping festival from now instead:-)

I found some fabulous stuff at "The One". According to the staff they get stuff every day. The good stuff flies fast, so first come first serve. Good stuff includes: decorations, nice candles, large mirrors, lamps, sofas, and dinning room stuff, wardrobes

Is it possible to get there by public transport + walking? I checked on Wojhati and it says there is a bus stop at Menhad Restaurant. I'm worried about walking along that road and want to hear if it's possible at all. I'm on a student budget and would like to avoid AED 120+ if I can for taxi rides, but don't want to risk my life either. edited by norne on 28/12/2011 OMG not worth any of that effort or cost! I'm with spongemonkey on this for sure not worth it, go to a mall with an H&M or Forever 21 etc you can get some great stuff or just wait for the Dubai Shopping Festival.

I bought a couple of Banana Republic silk dresses from there, so i can`t complain. There are some shops selling perfumes, but i`m not sure if it`s the real stuff or made somewhere in Jebel Ali. Anyone knows?

basically **** - put any previous ideas from UK or USA outlets out of your mind - go if you have nothing else to do, to get some free air con and a bit of a walk ...anything else is a bonus.. *like*

IMO the worst things about Outlet Mall is 1) No bookstores 2) Limited food court

I have been to the Outlet Mall a few times, its 'hit and miss' really! I have bought some real bargins at a shop called 'Priceless' (near to The One). The shoe Outlet called Opera is quite good, also a shop, I think called 'Allied' (yellow and black sign) opposite Diesel, is quite good too. Happy shopping! :) edited by kittycatrocks on 13/09/2011

There are some good stores that sell end of range Bloomingdales and House of Frazer stuff at good prices. I always end up with a few bargains!

It is really hit and miss. There is also no Debenhams to M&S. You can get decent trainers at a good price and luggage, baby gear.
