I've just been on their site to look at the member/monthly offers. What have they done to it?!!! It used to be easy to navigate but now it's a right pain in the a**e  You can find them easily on the app, no more printed offers from the website.

Hard to see how it isn't a money saver when you only need to use two brunch vouchers or a brunch and an attraction such as Wild Wadi and the book is paid for...Unless you don't do brunch, in which case why would you bother with it in the first place ? lol

I came across the Kobonaty book today, which sells for Dhs 249. Much cheaper than the Dhs 495 that the Entertainer charges, but how does it compare in terms of vouchers? Anyone have it? Would appreciate feedback. TIA

So... we succumbed and bought the Fine Dining book. We usually stick to our favourite restaurants but thought we'd start trying new ones this year so on Friday we visited a Chinese restaurant in a hotel on SZR (would love to name and shame but...) We ordered 2 starters, 2 mains, fried rice and 2 beers. Anyway, after a mediocre meal we asked for the bill and gave them the voucher. When we received it we saw they'd taken the price of the rice off. When we complained to the waiter he told us that rice is classed as a main meal in China!!! He then changed his mind and said that indeed, it isn't a main dish. Asked for the manager who wouldn't come to our table. It was eventually sorted but I have just emailed Entertainer and the restaurant. Just beggars belief how cheeky they are to think they'll get away with it. They do come up with some brilliant excuses mind

Good morning. The most disappointing aspect is that if you have bought more than one (book) app, you are allowed a max of 10 pings per account and not per (book) app. This is unfair for me. If you have not registered the app/book yet then open new account for each... and Yes I did not buy the app because of the limit of 10 pings .. unless you are sharing your account in two phones (so they can use the app voucher by themselves) and no pings required .. the book gives you more freedom in sharing Unfortunately we have. Always thought Entertainer to be user friendly and helpful.....

The Travel Book does seem pointless as you can nearly always book cheaper elsewhere. I tried to use it at a hotel in Abu Dhabi but they told me that they very rarely accept the voucher as there are normally other offers on and it cant be used when the hotel is running offers!

Was also disappointed that Kitchen 6 and Al Hadeerah both disappeared from the Fine Dinning. I used to buy it only for these 2 outlets. And it is really frustrating to have to pay a higher price for the useless travel book that they are attaching/forcing "as free" to all other books. You are right, that travel book is completely pointless, think that's why they keep bundling it with the more successful products... I had family coming to stay last year and called Fairmont Palm for rates and asked about using the E voucher, it was 20% cheaper to book on booking.com at their standard advertised rate than use the entertainer travel app - the reservations at Fairmont explained BOGOF is based on the rack rate of the hotel which is only normally charged during peak peak season - complete time waster... I have the updated fine dining app and I am finding it so much harder to even search for items compared to the 2015 app, plus all those annoying 'featured' restaurants from other books, Entertainer seems to be selling their soul for whatever extra advertising money they can make. So frustrating!

more good news.. for those who have not bought the book or app yet you can get it from carrefour for 50aed app or 100aed book as crfr voucher back... How does this work? Do they sell the books for 100 AED or is it a voucher offer? I haven't seen any emails from Carrefour about this. If you buy the book from c4 you get 1000 points on my club card which is equivalent to AED 100 voucher, if you buy the app you will get 500 points I just checked & it's there on their fb page the offer is valid until the 20th Jan. I might go today to check That is good, I've been aiming to get my 50 AED voucher from C4 in order to buy the book (eventually) so if this is the case I'll be getting before the 20/01 thanks sababy.

We too have always bought the Fine Dining Book and have benefitted from the app and monthly updates as well. We do look forward to seeing the new restaurants that appear in the book. But do of course miss our favourites. However I've decided not to purchase just yet and make full use of the vouchers that we have from two issues of Timeout that are BOGOF. If anyone still has their copies of TO its volume 15 issue 11 & 45.

Is there any downside to using the app? Mixed reviews in my workplace...some say it doesn't always work or has bugs. It would be a lot more convenient...but I hate to have one more reason to scroll through my phone...

Don't worry about missing out on Shakespeare token as they are not honouring the deal fully. Tried using the app for two burgers today and was told they are not listed as main course. Staff agreed burger fries and salad is not starter or dessert but mgt have agreed on very few dishes being a main course. would have happily went elsewhere if we had known. Then you must tell the people at the Entertainer that, so they can deal with it.

Great news as of yesterday all members (app and book) can access their respective new offers on the app (just like monthly and travel) ... it was only available to App members before :)

If you buy the book and register it online then download the app you can get the additional vouchers as they add them through out the year. I will get my money back from the blue book but will use very little vouchers compared to last year. If I didn't have visitors I would only purchase fine dining this time but you can see all the outlets online before purchasing so I knew what I was getting. What amazes me is I've offered to sell mine with wild wadi vouchers included for half price but because I've used / exchanged some of the cafe and fast food places people are not interested! Surely it's the higher value vouchers that make the book worth while?

Hi sababy, Check all the pages are there by page number. A few years back we had a chunk of pages missing from the bound book. They quickly replaced the missing pages for us when notified. Well here is the news.. I contacted them online and they confirmed that apparently NEW OFFERS are ONLY available for APP version members and not the book members!!!! Monthly offers are added monthly and travel offers all year -for all members- but not new offers like Shakespeare and others !!! my disappointment is growing bigger :(

Hi, I disagree, we have already saved AED755 this year (have to admit thought we play golf which racks up the saving). I think as old places disappear new ones replace them, we have found some fab places because of entertainer vouchers. Last year we save AED 12,000 according to the app calculator which I know is approx. We have also used the hotel vouchers in the past in Kuala Lumpur and also Fujeirah. We have been buying the standard entertainer book and fine dining since moving here in 2007 and have never been disappointed

you think thats bad - I bought the kids 2016 in November (they had a promotion that if you buy 2016 book you get the 2015 free) and I looked to use something yesterday and it said I didnt have the book. My purchase history says I bought 2015 (which I had already bought in Jan 2015) so Apparently, I bought 2 for 2015 even though I know I didnt and the promotion was giving 2015 free at the time of buying 2016!

Don't forget the monthly offers and brunches that come up on the app. If you use one of the brunch offers you almost get your money back. I now we have saved a fortune over the past few years by buying the Entertainer so will continue to buy it. Didn't realize Shakespeare was it this year .... looking forward to using those vouchers already :)

Don't forget there's also a very active swapping community on Facebook. That may make it worth your while.

I think it would be hard to say that The Entertainer is not worth it, well I guess only if you buy it for certain restaurants that have now disappeared. Every year some of the ones that we use disappear, but also some of the new restaurants are places that we do go to, for example, this year now includes Shakespeare and Fume. Last year we had savings on it around 4,000 Dhs (and I know that isn't actual savings as it is an estimate) so it is worth the money we pay for the app upfront and we will continue to buy it every year I think. What may be a consideration for some people that think it isn't worth it is to share an account with a friend. You may overlap on some restaurants, but there are 3 vouchers each, and you will find that with other vouchers some you won't overlap on at all so it does makes sense. It really works if you share with somebody who has a different taste in restaurants.
