also recommend Kyra in G&D park, their website/FB has all the info about baby earpiercing we did my DD ears when she was 4 months old and they did great job, in my country its normal to have baby's ear pierced, they actually do it in hospital when they born before you discharged. Kyra recommends to wait for baby to have their 3 month vaccination before they do it

Our paediatrician did my DDs a couple of years ago, and did a great job. I wouldnt go anywhere 'non medical' in dxb, as you just never know... It's a cultural thing for some people pierce baby girl's ears, I dont think they feel it any more than they would a vaccination jab. I waited until my DD asked for her ears to be pierced, she was 5 when she did and didnt shed a tear!

Thanks Ladies for all your suggestions. My 10 year old daughter has been asking for years to have her ears pierced - not sure she is really ready to do it yet though.

Still,to me, it beggars belief, to put a baby through having their ears pierced. I see it all to often. My DDs 11 and 13 are too scared. edited by bblue on 27/05/2013

I took my 11 year old to KYRA. I have been fighting this off for years and finally gave in. I didn't see the point of a little girl having earrings that might get ripped out by 2 rambunctious little brothers and a baby sister who likes to grab things. The man who did the piercing was really nice and the machine is quite professional looking, much better than what was used to pierce my ears back in the day. They are not easy to find as they are located in one of the warehouses located in the gold and diamond market, just behind the metro station. Think we paid about 250, yikes expensive but had a hard time with finding another option. Good luck.

Wherever you go, make sure she is old enough to have had at least her first tetanus shot. Just to be safe. :)

Hi - we are looking for a place where my daughter can get her ears pierced. Any suggestions. Many thanks in advance. Pharmacies used to do it but now only Dr.s are authorised. Go to your pediatrician for your daughter.
