HI, has anyone else signed up for and prepaid for fitness first in mortrcity?
They promised to open in mid Jan and latest Feb 1st-now we are on to mid feb!

There phones are always off!!!
I think its the worst customer service ever
Funny how they took money from my account within one day and havent even bothered contacting me about delay in opening ETC

Anyone know where i can file an official complaint, an e-mail would be helpul for evidence sake
Am sooo ****** off!

I signed up about a week ago and the girl I talked to, Melissa, told me that Dubai Municipality delayed the opening. They are hoping to open end of Feb, beginning of March. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if the delay is longer seeing as they are now waiting for DM approval. I am looking forward to the opening but at the same time I'm not too worried because as Clare said, I have paid for one year membership - whenever that may start.

From my experience and listening to others, Fitness first is very quick to take the money, much less to answer customers complaints. You could try to phone an other club or try the head office - if they have one. ask for the manager and state from the beginning that, as you don't have any answer, you will file a complain with the municipality - usually world very well to have people move here is Dubai. Perhaps you have an email address to write to?

I wonder how many people signed up and paid for the all new all singing country club that was supposed to have opened ages ago - not seen or heard anything about that........ Not stealing the thread, but I did hear that they have refunded everyone.....anyway, nothing would have been as good as the 'real' Country Club. That's good to hear- yeah nothing could replace that place! Loved their roast dinners!

Delayed openings are the norm in Dubai. Look at the thousands of people who have paid up front for properties that have been delayed for years and some who have still not even been started. Have you been past where the unit is in motor city is there activity? Does it look like its nearly ready? Remember most places quote opening dares and very few achieve them for many many different reasons most of which are totally out of the companies control. You won't lose out because your membership will run from their opening date not the projected opening that you were told so, although it's frustrating and annoying - at least you will get your full membership. I wonder how many people signed up and paid for the all new all singing country club that was supposed to have opened ages ago - not seen or heard anything about that........ I hope it all comes together soon for you. Perhaps pop into another fitness first and ask to speak to the manager there and see if you can get a number from them of the best person to address about your concerns.

Who gives money to people to earn interest from.......Just call their head office and demand that they return your money to your account, now, today or you will take action.
