Flames92 (Oilers fan here so really hoping you're not Flames92 as in Calgary Flames ;) )... I've always just bought the containers of spreadable philly and have just as much luck with all my cheesecakes. The amount per container is different than the blocks, but it still works. Just in case you can't always find the blocks. :)

Just wanted to share this information for all those people who have been looking for block cream cheese in Dubai. I saw two brands in [b'>Safestway Supermarket[/b'> (Sheikh Zayed Road) - one was Philadelphia (the one with 1/3rd fat) and Wisconsin's one. I bought the 8 oz/226 gm Wisconsin one for 17 dhs and I will try making oreo cheesecake over the weekend by cutting down the recipe. I will probably use this recipe - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXTYsJHWWT4 but will cut down the recipe by 1/3rd.
