Bastakiya: Scrolling though the heritage district and visit the art galleries. Make sure to rent an "Abra" a wodden boat that takes you on a tour through the creek.
This is our all time favourite ...

Hi,
Dubai is the best place to visit. And there are many beautiful places in Dubai where you can take your guests to. You can take them to the Dubai Mall. They would really enjoy it as it is the largest mall in the world and even in Dubai Mall you have Aquarium and Under Water Zoo which is amazing. http://www.mymoneysouq.com/financial-blog/top-5-places-to-shop-this-ramadan-in-dubai/ check this if you wanna take them for shopping.
Visit the Dubai Turtle Rehabilition Project at Al Naseem hotel, they give a free talk at 11am on Wednesdays, or you can just go and see them anytime. Check out the Facebook page. The hotel beach is a great place for a Burj al Arab selfie too.
Thank you :) I didn't know there was a turtle rehabilitation in Dubai at all.

Visit sand dunes at night, its especially beautiful on a moonlit night. I did this once with some people who have been here long enough to know exactly which place to go to. However it would be better to see its not windy or else it wont be possible to sit for long with all that sand going into your eyes and mouth. .
Miracle Garden
Glow garden
The Ethiad Museum on Bech road
CityWalk and a visit to Greenplanet
A day to Sharjah, lots of nice museums there and a Wildlife park, all really cheap as well.
The laser show at Festival City
Global Village
Walk along the Palm Crescent, few food trucks for snacks there as well
Walk along the canal
Take a water bus in the Marina
I know there are lists of things to do in Dubai on the ExpatWoman site but I was wondering where you ladies have personally gone that would be good to take visitors? I have not traveled much yet myself.
Anything besides the obvious Burj Kalifa?
Mostly sightseeing and unique to this side of the world. More low to medium priced places as well, I think the expensive things are usually well publicized :)
I have kids but they do not.
Hey!
Look up these options.
Dubai creek (boat trip) and Deira (souks and history museum) - very authentic. Business bay and Dubai canal that leads to Safa park for a walk with a nice view. JBR/Dubai marina/ JLT/ Madinat - great places for long walk lots of places to eat/have a drink. Broadwalk on The Palm with food trucks plus you will see Atlantis hotel and can visit aquaventure water park. Al qudra lakes. Global village can be quite interesting as well

This is our all time favourite and if you carry on walking along the water you will reach a stretch restaurants with arabic music and a very nice atmosphere. It is a very authentic middle eastern experience.
i have not been but my husband mentioned that Design District is really nice.
other ideas: have a pancake breakfast at Sarabeths (newly opened ) famous in NYC, it is in City Walk and then you can take a walk in city walk or visit Al khazzan park with the kids (small cute park - very good coffee too and food)
Al Qudra Lakes? (I have not been myself but hear it is nice). Going to the Dubai Mall, I believe they have a giant ball park now for kids.
Souk al bahar to get into Arabic atmosphere, Souk Madinat
I also like the trendy Alkersal Avenue the industrial area, there is a really nice chocolate factory where you can have a really good chocolate chip cookie and delicious coffee, I believe it is called Mirzam.
Go to the Palm for a lunch at Sofitel or Anantara? I heard there is a nice park on the palm too
Zabeel park on a Friday Morning with the Ripe Market or the evening event Glow in the Dark
I always take visitors to DIFC as we love the atmosphere - architecture.
..... brunch or food at Zuma (expensive but so njammie if you are into Japanese food and sushi)
I've never been to most of those places so thank you for the suggestions!
