We stayed at the GH with our two young kids for about a month when we first relocated to Dubai. It is a gorgeous hotel and we had a lovely stay. I don't think you could ask for a nicer place to park temporarily. We had a 2 bed/2 bath apartment which was nice and spacious. Great service. Staff treat the kids like royalty and our daughter was in heaven when they came round each afternoon to give a bowl of fruit and a treat for tea time (for the treat of course, not the fruit). There is a shuttle that will take you to Royal Meridien any time you want to use the facilities (3 pools, beach, great kids club that they have just refurbished); although it is only across the street it is not really possible to walk with kids given construction, lack of crosswalks/sidewalks. We loved the Meridien so much we joined the beach club. Happy to answer any specific questions you might have just post or leave your email. I'm from US as well but detoured in London before Dubai. edited by Catawba KSE on 30/07/2011 this is exactly what i wanted to hear, i have 3 kids, under 6...so yes i am so happy to hear your glowing reviews! email is [email protected] ill take any advice you have!!! :)

I have never stayed in the hotel but dined there a few times and the restaurants are really nice. Some of the restaurants are quite expensive, we usually go for special occasions but maybe you will get discounts if you are staying a while? it's a great location for other restaurants and nightlife in the Marina / JBR area. I am sure you will not be disappointed, enjoy :)

Hotels? Both fabulous. The only downside I can think of is bumping into Colleen Rooney and the other WAGs in the RM lobby... ;)

Hi, I've never stayed at G.H but been a few times for meals and each time they have been lovely, one of DH favourite hotels in Dubai. We have recently had visitors staying at Le Royal Meridien for 10 days, and they really enjoyed there stay and no complaints from that hotel. Enjoy... Nippy
