Groupon not sending voucher //Any Recommendation

I have purchased a deal at Groupon and waiting for voucher since last two days.

Today I called their support team regarding voucher and what they told was shocking for me that voucher will be sent within a week after the deal expiry. There wasn’t something mention like this on deal.

I purchased that deal because I want that product as soon as possible, even I called to merchant before buying the deal and they were willing to deliver within a day but Groupon team not willing to send voucher.

Does anyone has such kind of experience earlier?

Please advise how to handle this issue?

Oh shame. I was only in the last few days checking out some Groupon deals for hiring a boat for my DH's 50th. Have been debating whether to push the button or not and purchase. Now I will definitely not risk the money and the hassle of chasing it up. I'm very sorry to read how many people have had a bad experience with them.

@ Sue R & Laura: I partially agreed with you, if it’s mentioned that voucher will be sent within one week after deal end your point is valid but unfortunately there wasn't anything like that and their call center also acknowledged this. We have been using Groupon for a while but now decided to buy all the deals directly from supplier instead of wasting time in waiting etc. I don't know how should i say but their call center response was very pathetic. We purchased that online deal only because it wasn't mentioned that they will delay voucter even we talked to supplier before purchase and he was willing to deliver with no time. Today my husband went to their office and called police and then they give him voucher and their management excused for their mistake for ambiguous term and conditions. Now we'll never buy any deal from Groupon whatever the situation.

We just bypass them these days and go straight to the actual vendor. They will all be prepared to extend the same deal directly to you and there's no hanging around waiting. In fact we did just that with a new phone this morning.

Yes actually to be fair, I find that groupon is not too bad. If you bought a product, it normally does say in the small print that they won't deliver until a certain time period. Took me nearly 3 weeks to get mine, but that was expected. Even if you are not happy with the voucher, I find that they do give refunds pretty easily.

It's quite usual for the vouchers not to be issued until after the online deal has finished. Read all the small print - it normally makes it quite clear. You will probably receive the voucher quite quickly after the deadline. True. But if you didn't receive the voucher even after the deadline, then write on their page in FB, they take quick action.

My recommendation, which will not really help you, is to avoid at all cost, terms and conditions to this company means nothing. Hopefully, they will continue to lose customers and disappear off the face of the planet!
