I might be able to help you out if you can change the Sunday to Saturday. I am from the United States. I don't know how you get in touch with me if I can't put my email address on here....

If you can give way on the "native English speaking" then (as I've already posted on another thread) the Malaak nurses are a lovely option. http://malaak.me They are qualified maternity nurses and you can hire them by the hour for hours like yours. They are all Filipina but all speak very good English. We've used them and they are really excellent. As I said on the other thread, it's pricey, so for most people would only be a short term option, but see how your budget goes. Another option is Healthbay Polyclinic- they supply maternity nurses in the same way. (Though we did find Malaak as a company to be much more friendly and helpful than Healthbay.) As for wanting a nanny specifically from a "Western" country: you might be pleasantly surprised if you widen those criteria! Great advice and a good link.

The only legal way to hire a nanny is to sponsor yourself or go through an agency There have been some people who have brought in western staff as governesses or tutors etc - but this is usually an expensive option as western staff will be looking for western salary ranges - otherwise you have to pay agency rates Other arrangements are illegal (including "own visas") with huge fines if you are caught - also there are dangers as if anything happens for example the nanny steals etc as if you go to to the police you may find yourself prosecuted as well

If you want a "qualified, native English speaking" nanny, you're going to have to pay the price. You can't have the best and expect to pay peanuts, sorry.

Hi - we are looking for a native English speaking qualified nanny to work just for the afternoons (from 2-7pm) Sunday to Thursday to help with our 2 year old and 4 year old. I have looked at numberous websites and it seems that we cannot sponsor a 'nanny' from a Western country under Dubai laws. We could get a nanny through a Western nanny agency but this is eye wateringly expensive! Does anyone know of any agency in Dubai that may provide native English speaking help (preferrably one that we do not need to sponsor and who would be live out)? If anyone knows of anything I would be beyond grateful! Many thanks Emma
