Left turning screws? That'll b****r up the "lefty-loosy, righty-tighty" saying.

My father's favourite wind up to his apprentices in the Glasgow railway works was to send lads to get pails of blue steam and tins of tartan paint. I fell for the "long stand for a drip" one as a very young student nurse :D

Choc's i fear you have been very misinformed, the response alone should tell you of course there are Left handed screw drivers!! Once sourced i will be on the look out for left turning screws of course! LOL there's only one left-handed screw driver, a product posted in 2006, but clearly very tongue in cheek, love the description. Hey I'm about as leftie as they come :)

LOL *wind up thread alert* friends have been receiving this exact message my BBM and whatnot. DUH there are no left handed screw drivers! Screw drivers are neither left nor right handed. How can something which is straight and not ergonomically designed to fit a certain hand be left or right handed? Classic joke played on workshop apprentices. Now if anyone can point me in the direction of a pair of good left-handed scissors - that's a whole other matter. Plus there is an online shop everythinglefthanded :) edited by Chocs01 on 10/08/2011

Hopefully it's not the same shop as where my friend went to get a long stand and he was told to wait whilst they served other customers. He stood there for absolutely ages before he gave up and left. edited by moo moo on 10/08/2011

I can't remember the name of the shop but it's the place that also sells tartan paint and skirting ladders so they might be able to help you. I've been told they also do left-handed keys so you might be lucky in finding a left-handed screwdriver. Good luck with your search.

I think I saw one at Ace in the aisle opposite the tartan paint. edited by Hello.Again.Kitty on 10/08/2011

Pray, do tell where you found the bubble for your level. My (dearly loved but now departed) Grandfather used to collect the bubbles from his neighbours' goldfish.

I remember that there used to be a "left-handed shop" that opened in Karama somewhere -- but this was a number of years ago. I remember reading about it either here on this forum so you might do a serch, or it could have been another forum which existed before which was exclusive to the Meadows and Springs people. Maybe someone here can remember or know if it still exists, but I do remember many happy "lefty" people raving about it. Try a search here and, if you are lucky, maybe someone will know if the shop is still open and where.

Hoping this thread will not be deleted as controversial or insulting to any lefties out there (regardless of race, nationlity or religion). I have searched high and low, even in the shop where i found the bubble for my level but to no avail can i source my left handed screwdriver! Answers gratefully received.
