I'm presuming it is our water pump but we have little to no water in our villa, we live in the ranches (Al Reem). We can't get someone,to come and check until Saturday morning! I remember reading somewhere that if we turn something off we might be able to get enough water to flush toilets etc. Can anybody help with info, and does anyone know rough cost of fixing.

Oh that reminded me of series of no water that continued for 2 months like what you said...call the LL or the maintenance that LL deal with, tell them that the water bump had shortage that stopped bumping water.... Good Luck, you will need it. ETA: you can fill the toilet flushing box - got no idea what it's name - with the water hose beside the toilet, the hose is lower than another tap, that gravity will naturally fill this tap with water, otherwise fill water from the garden hose as it's the one that is lower and will have more water in because of the gravity.... Hi, We had this last week, after being away for a couple of months. Our maintenance team went through all our faucets and apparently the aerators were clogged and had to be cleansed. Now all our faucets work brilliantly. HTH :) edited by jophiel on 19/09/2012

I had this yesterday in alvorada, loss of pressure then no water, I'd had workmen in the back during the day and they'd tripped something out but I didn't realise. A lovely neighbour came down and looked in the electricity box and it was just a switch that had tripped and so needed resetting. Worth checking in your box!

We had the same problem last weekend(we are in Alma). We were on our way out last Friday afternoon and the water went off. I also assumed that we wouldn't get it fixed until Saturday but we called DEWA to check if there was a problem and they sent someone out within two hours (excellent service, especially for a Friday). They opened one of the valves in the pump cupboard outside that gave us the water supply back. We did however notice the water pressure had dropped, especially when using the shower so we had them back a few days later. They tested the pressure which was okay so they suggested we got the pump checked. I called Mplus, the maintenance section of Emril last night at 6pm and they came out and fixed it within two hours. DEWA didn't charge anything for either call out and Mplus charged 200 dhs. It might be worth giving either of them a call to see if they can come out sooner than Saturday.

Eek sorry, That was the sum total of my plumbing skills. You could try ToolTime. I'm sure they would charge a small fortune for a friday call out though.

Have you tried the reset button on the pump?
