Hi Ladies,

Our maid has to leave as her daughter is sick back home country (tonight she is leaving). I'm working full time currently and want to know if any maid company can provide maid service not only cleaning, baby sitting but cooking and ironing? We live in Mirdif, if anyone are willing to share your maid, I'm willing to pay the price you ask for as sometimes some families with bigger children don't need their maid for the full day. Thank you very much. Or if you can recommend good maid, please let me know.

They also from time to time do crackdown campaigns and check ad hoc on the labour cards etc it's not worth the risk. They also often do spot checks as sandy dogg has said.

How can someone find out if I share a maid with other family? Does it have anything to do with third party's business? If the third party is the police/UAE government, then yes - it does! As the other ladies have said, it's against the law.

Quite easily. If she steals from you, you can't report her. If you do, you're in trouble for employing her illegally. ll it takes is one person to grass you or her up and you're in the mire. Also, maids get spot-checked.

As Sanddy_Dogg said, its illegal for a maid to double up as part-time help for employers other than their sponsors. see http://gulfnews.com/news/gulf/uae/employment/maid-in-dubai-domestic-danger-1.866967

Please don't expect anyone to share their maid with you. It's illegal and can land you both with a fine of up to AED 100,000. Hopefully someone can recommend an agency who can fulfill all your needs.
