Good evening ladies,

I'm going to Maldives in March for my birthday and I'm doing some research on where to stay.

I want to book an all inclusive hotel, so I don't have to bother about anything once I'm there.

Any ideas?

Thanks a lot.

Booked hotel with Atoll Paradise in The Maldives who had great service and then flights separately with Qatar Airways (as we are in Doha)....can be a cheaper alternative to Emirates, if you are in Dubai too... edited by chizz on 22/01/2012

We booked them separately and directly with the airline & hotel websites. At the time this was the most ecomonical option.

Thanks for the replies, did you book directly through the hotels or you got a package from Dubai with flights included? Last year we got a great deal through the travel agents in AR but this year they were much more expensive so I have booked the flights directly with Emirates and the resort through Agoda.com

Lily Beach is great...was there in Dec...Platinum All Inclusive Plan, so all drinks and food included (wide range of cocktails/premium spirits), even mini-bar in the room is included with soft drinks, water, beer and wine and 2 excursions too. The Water Villas are lovely and it had a great house reef....really enjoyed it! P.S. March may be a tall order, as it's still high-season and lots of resorts get booked up many months in advance...but worth giving it a go! Oreo - there are quite a few All-Inclusive resorts in The Maldives.... edited by chizz on 21/01/2012 Another vote for Lily Beach :) We went last year and loved it, so much so that we are going back again in April. The all inclusive plan is excellent, and the food and drinks available are good quality throughout the resort.

You can also upgrade your package once you get there. Works out much better value to get an all inclusive package rather than paying for things individually as everything is so expensive at these resorts.

We went to the Maldives last May and stayed at Meeru Island resort on their all inclusive package. We booked directly through the hotel website. It was superb value and the food was fantastic for buffet food. Drinks fine too. You can also do the all inclusive plus package which basically includes the mini bar in your villa, but we didn't think it was worth it and we took a large glass of red back with us every night from the bar! Loved everything about the place and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

There are LOADS of resorts in the Maldives that do all inclusive, we found dozens and dozens when we were researching for our honeymoon. We had previously taken the all inclusive package at Kuredu which was a great island, but for our honeymoon we went to Komandoo which was an adults only island, again all inclusive, and the food was FABULOUS!

Not sure if there such a thing in the Maldives as it tend to be quite expensive. However, if you do fund one, let me know because I'd like to go back. It's trulyparadise on earth! On the same subject, anyone can suggest a kids friendly destination to travel to from Dubai? I want to avoid long travelling as we have our share when wetravel to canada in the summer. My boys are 4 and 6.
