We moved here nearly two years ago, I would highly recommend Sandoval Gardens building if you are looking for a flat, the prices have gone up, but it's very well maintained and we never had any issues. They are located near gate 8 (Street1) which is very convenient to get in and out of JVC. As others mentioned, there are two new parks in the area, with running track, a couple of trees, but no grass yet. Al Barsha Park is less than 10mins drive. We are seeing more and more convenience stores, beauty center (Dial a Nail a beauty center has opened not long ago), dry cleaning, restaurant, etc...

LOL Diamond Views incredibly bad and skanky - slightly harsh. The flats are a bit of a ghetto but we are probably moving into a Diamond Views town house next week. Yes the developer is a little shady but the house is perfect for our needs and we faced the same issues when we moved into our Mirabella house but it has been great. My DH has been snagging and nagging all week! We did plan to move to another area but the local landlord changed the deal from 3 to 1 cheque because of the expo.

I'm thinking of moving to here as well. At present in Motorcity but recently we have acquired a new landlord who has already told us that he would like to move his family in - whatever - it's funny cause he says "my advisors" says this and that - I've not yet told him that I work for a law firm!

Hi, i live in one of the Emirates Gardens buildings which are owned by Damac. Its on the Street 1 side. They are well made and have good security and facilities. There are convenience stores within our buildings and we are getting a bakery and nail spa soon as well. Also a park has been opened with a running track which is good. Diamond view is incredibly bad and skanky so dont look there. Sandoval is nice but has gone up in prices. Motor CIty is not far and driving to Dubai central areas takes 10 minutes mostly which is great. Its sandy and not green like Motor City but we hope it will one day be nice.

Hi Ladies, Im looking to move to Jumeirah Village Circle in Jan. Has anyone got any advise or inside info on living in the area they can give, ie: good/bad buildings, coffee shops, taxi issues etc. Thanks Hi emmasv Have been here nearing 3 years and will be moving as the rents being asked for are no longer value for money. The build quality is not great at all we have had problems with windows where we have had to improvise to make them seal as best we can, including doors! We have A/C issues where we now know how to try and keep them working. We live in a villa and have to say the worst is all the stairs 3 levels. Traffic is dangerous here as more people move in and all the construction around there is no respect for other road users, there have been some nasty accidents here already. I like to walk my puppy and I'm grateful for the park we have now so at least I can walk somewhere safer, but there is no grass in these new parks. I don't have kids but the neighbours kiddies all play out the back, just glad I don't have to bath them as they would be filthy from playing in the sand! But at least they are socialising :) The good things are you won't be too far from Motor City, Marina,MOE and Dubai Mall. More deliveries are starting to come here but getting things delivered can be a nightmare as said earlier no street signs! Another positive is it's not to close to the high voltage power lines. At the end of the day it all depends on what you want and where you want to live, but you get what you pay for. Best of luck and Happy New Year

We've been here for 2 years and we are very happy. We have a large town house for a reasonable rent. I get my nails etc done very reasonably at the beauticians opposite the Atlantis Accommodation. The owner is a little crazy but the girls who work there are great. There are always taxis outside here as well. Or if no taxi it won't be long before they appear. The supermarkets are more convenience stores but Motor City has a great Spinneys and MOE is only 10 mins away. Takeaways are very reliable from Motor City and recently from further afield. Best advice work out some clear directions to your place as there are no street names or clear land marks so it is very easy for people to get lost. They are starting to introduce more amenities so things are looking up!
