I am getting numerous missed calls from 0091 number.i think I can go to the police to stop them and block them but I know I will keep getting other ones.
Very annoying and they are from the same number.
Never answer them of course.

Anyone else affected??

Fiona, Do you have a facility on your phone that you can block a particular number? I had a caller (from Bangladesh) that wouldn't let up, called me early mornings, sometimes 10 times. In the end I sent an sms to him asking him to stop calling and he smsed me back saying his brother who just arrived in UAE to work gave my number by mistake.

If I am not mistaken 0091 is the international dialing code for India. Maybe someone is trying to get a family member by giving missed calls. Pick up and let them know they have a wrong number and they may stop. If not then you can call your provider and they can block the number. If it is a local number then teh police are also pretty good at stopping them. I had an issue with someone from Al Ain giving me calls in the middle of the night on my land line. The police found out who it was an and made them apologise. They never called again.

I had someone continuously calling me. My husband took his number to the police and that was the end of that. The police usually stop these things immediately and without a huge drama so best to do it early rather than later when you are stressed and emotional over the intrusion.
