Hi. Just wondering if anyone knows any shops other than Dulux in Satwa that sell odourless paint. I am pregnant and our villa is due to be painted by the landlord. I would prefer to use this paint.
thanks

Thank so much, keeperofthetreasure, this is really valuable information for me right now (currently looking at renovating our newly-bought house)!!

Caparol is cheaper than BM but in dark colours I thought it applied badly, I used lighter colours that applied fine but the colours themselves are not as sophisticated as BM but I am very difficult when it comes to these things, caparol are also in Al quoz if you google them, washable finish available

Hi Shella, where is Dulux in Satwa? Thanks! Thanks ladies. We saw the paint in Ace but after going direct to Dulux at Satwa it is much cheaper. Just wanted to check there were no other places with a range of odourless paint like Jotun. Thanks again though. KB75....unfortunately I cant recommend a painting company as we are very lucky in that our landlord pays to paint our villa every 3years. The only reason we are buying our own paint is that we want to choose our own colours. The landlord allows us to paint our house whatever colour we like as long as we paint it back to their preferred white if we leave. Sorry I couldn't help. edited by Shella on 29/09/2014

Where can I find this Benjamin Moore paint? Today I discovered the Japanese Kansai Paint (Umm Suqueim sliproad, next to Meroe), they also have low VOC paint and some more great features (eg, antibacterial/mold-preventing paint for bathroom, washable paint for kids room etc.). But they're very pricey- they offer a painting service with their paints and that's 39 AED/sqm... Not sure what the price is if you only buy the paint but I assume that all other brands come cheaper... Nevertheless, cool store. Truly odourless (i.e low or no VOC) in Dubai are Caparol (price comparable to Jotun) or Benjamin Moore (Dulux prices). Anything else is a nightmare especially Jotun, I have tried them all for myself and professionally. Caparol does not apply well and their range of colours is not great. Benjamin Moore has lots of lovely colours and even their woodwork finish paints are pretty much totally odourless.

Agree with SimpleDimple5. Ace Festival City has a really large selection of water based paint, brand is called "Valspar". It's slightly on the higher price end, but worth it.

Hiya Shella We bought ours from ACE hardware on Shk Zayed, all the water based paint have no smell, I know this because we literally just painted 4 walls at home over the weekend and I have a 5 month old bubba and 4 year old daughter and there was no smell, lovely big range of colours and the guys are very helpful there too. xx
