ok I have one - literally overheard at McDonald's no less :) and I promise promise its 100% authentic Its around 7 pm and we've already placed our order and we're just waiting for our food when this is what I hear from the next customer in line: McD's Employee: Can I help you? Customer: Yes, I ordered a cheeseburger, but when I opened it, there was no cheese. McD's Employee: So you want a cheeseburger? Customer: No, I already ordered one, back at my office, but I opened it and there was no cheese McD's Employee: * blank stare* Customer: There was no cheese in my cheeseburger. Customer: Its a cheeseburger, I paid for cheese, but there was no cheese, only hamburger. McD's Employee: So you want cheese? Customer: No, I want a cheeseburger, a sandwich with hamburger and cheese. McD's Employee: *blink blink* Customer: (getting angry now) I ordered a cheeseburger, but the one I got did not have cheese. I need a cheeseburger. McD's Employee: So where is it? where is your wrong order? Customer: well I already ate it - this was earlier at lunch today but I didn't have time to come back until now... but it didn't have cheese and I ordered a cheeseburger duhhhhhhhh....what the !#>? I almost exploded trying to contain myself! Sorry but I really don't see the use of ordering food, seeing it's not correct, eating it anyway and then go back complaining. No wonder they got a blank look. If I was working there I'd be like, what would you like me to do? Say sorry? Give you a new burger? exaaaactly!! not only does the guy waste so much time explaining, in the end he ALREADY ate the burger hours ago!?? I cannot comprehend who would do this and have the audacity to insist on a new burger when he already ate it!! If I was the employee I would give him a slice of cheese and be done with it. I hate it when people do that. Finish their food and then complain. I guess the burger wasn't filling enough and he tried his luck to get another one lol. Yes give him a slice of cheese and send him on his way!

The restaurant at the Organic Cafe has great food, but the staff are badly trained and unprepared. Having lunch last week: Me: Does the pumpkin curry comes with rice or should I order it separeatly? Waiter: We don't have rice maaaam. Me: Hum, strange, I have had rice here before. Waiter: No maaaam, we don't serve rice. Me: So, what can I have with my curry? Waiter: Maaaam, I will bring you some extra bread. Me: Oh well.... The curry came with rice... And I am still waiting for my extra bread. For some nationalities rice is bread. LOL

I challenge you to find anything more stressful than dealing with a certain shop which sells uniforms during the summer before school. - hello, it seems that your shop is under refurbishment, (*thinking - who decided this would be a good time, would January not be better?*) - can you tell me where else i can go to get the uniform for X School. - yes you can come to the factory. - ok, i will, but do you have everything in stock as in previous years i've been told on the phone that all stock is there but when I get there it is not ready yet? - yes maa'm, all colours here. - when you say 'all colours', i'm looking for the actual uniform for X school so there only is one colour - yes maa'm all colours available in sizes S, M, L - right, but to clarify, there only is one colour? - yes maa'm in sizes S, M, L (*thinking, there are actually about 20 different sizes?*) - are we talking about the same thing, the school uniform for X school? - yes - we have long sleeve or short sleeve - but they only have short sleeve? - yes but we can give you long sleeve - riiight - I think i'll just leave it. I have nightmares about this place all year long!!! :D

At a spa, Me: Do you have 30 minutes massage? "No maaam, only 1 hour or more. Wait a minute" Comes back and says "I have asked manager and we can do half hour but only today." When I asked to pay, she said it is same price as 1 hour.

At the well known baby store M....care: Me: I have the Maxi Cosi Pebble and I need a bigger seat now because my DD has outgrown it, she's more than 10kg now. Do you have a Group 1 seat that fits on the Family Fix base? Shop assistant:Yeas maam, the Pebble! Me: No, I told you I ready have the Pebble and it's small, I need the next size up. Do you have anything? Shop assistant: Maam if you don't want the Pebble we have other seats, like this one (points at one that looked a bit small) Me: so for what weight is this? Shop assistant: Newborn to 13 kilos maam Me: I told you I don't want Group 0, it's too small, what else do you have and is there anything that will fit the Family Fix base? Shop assistant: No maam, only the Pebble.... Me: Fine, thank you And I walk away although they have about 20 seats on display and I know at least 2 of them fit FF, but couldn't deal with it anymore...and they say go to a shop with specialized staff who can advise you on the right seat and show you how to install it....

I'd like to know why everything here, fish burger, chicken burger, regular burger has to come with processed cheese. Even if you order it without cheese you still get cheese it's like built into the burger.

When ordering burger in TGI's they asked me how I would like the burger cooked to which I replied 'Medium/rare'. The waitress returned 2 minutes later saying, 'I'm sorry Maaaaam we don't have Meduim/rare Burgers left, Only Well done'. - Not quite sure how it gets to well done without passing Medium :) I then asked why they could not do the burger Medium/rare, to which she replies 'Because it at a dangerous level to eat maaaam' - They would explode if they saw Steak Tartare :D You have to sign a disclaimer here if you want your burger cooked anything less than Well Done. I've been here for 5 years and I've never experienced that when myself or my SO have ordered a Med Rare burger (which we fairly often do) - until last weekend! It surprised me, but whatever, didn't bother me. Then, of course, they never brought the disclaimer out to be signed, so...oh well, I guess? Hah. But the funny thing is, I always order Medium Well and most of the time, it comes medium rare or less. Last night at the Observatory, the steak nearly got up and walked away!

My conversation with 'customer service' at a 'top-end' baby boutique in Dubai. Me: Hello, how much are you selling the maxi-cosi car seat for? Store: 1050 dhms Me: babyshop has the same seat for 950, and on your website it says that you match the lowest price? store: we'll check their price and come back to you. (5 mins later): store: Maam, the colour you want, babyshop dont have in stock, so we wont match their price me: I dont understand why the colour should make a difference? The other colours that BS do have in stock, are you selling those for 950 dhms to match their price? store: No our price is 1050 dhms for all the seats. ?!?!? sorry I don't get this - if babyshop are selling it cheaper then why do you not just buy it there ?? I probably will, but they didnt have the colour that I wanted, so I thought I'd try the other store as I thought they'd match the price. it's fine that they dont, they are entitled to charge what they want, but it irritates me no-end that they advertise they will, and then look for loopholes to avoid delivering on their promises (like it's not the exact same colour). TBH that is completely normal in an retail environment. It has to be the exactly same item, quite naturally some colours are slower sellers and as a result are marked down in sales. It is completely the same in the UK.

Not everyone is a native English speaker and can express her/himself in English the way we can. I've had it in every restaurant. Just a bit of banter anyway :) Nothing too serious ;) edited by bella2323 on 26/06/2013
