If you are doing the transfer/ registration at one of the new satellite offices around town (eg at Emaar Square), then you can't pay by credit card. Moreover, to avoid any delays, take separate cheques for the transfer duty (4%) and any other charges you may need to pay to the Land Dept (eg mortgage registration fee etc). HTH

Hi FairyDust, It's not about the property price that should be given to the seller, that I know that it has to be a bank manager cheque. There are usually an additional 4% of the property price payable to the land department. I just need to know if those 4% need also to be cash or if we can use a credit card to pay them

Is the property price one your mortgage guarantee cheque? If so, then gosh no. A managers cheque is basically like handing over cash - so you ahve to have the cash in your account, as soon as they issue it it's like making a cash withdrawl for that amount. The mortgage guarantee cheque is a normal undated cheque. edited by FairyDust on 09/05/2015

Thanks FairyDust, So do we need two bank manager cheques: one for the price of the property and another one for the 4% payable to Dubai Land department?

As far as I know, it has to be a bank managers cheque. I wasn't given any other option.
