Me too. I have put on 3 stone in weight since being diagnosed with an under active thyroid and would love some information on how I can use supplements to help me get fitter!

Oh I would love some info. I am desperate to become the person I want to be and not this very tiered unmotivated person. Which Doc do you see here in Dubai. Me too!! I have heard so many conflicting theories over the years about which vitamin/medication/brand/diet that will magically solve my thyroid problems. I would love to hear a real persons real solution. Niki, help us out ;)

I believe the reason you feel better could be down to the fact that many people with Thyroid issues also have problems absorbing vitamins and minerals, one of these being selenium. Brazil nut are great for selenium, I have an under active thyroid and among other supplements I take 200mg of selenium daily. It is important for people with Thyroid issues get certain levels of vitamins and minerals checked, these include D3, B12, zinc, iron, magnesium, you need to have good levels of vitamins and minerals for the body to be able to absorb and utilise thyroxine. Am away at the mo but happy to send people info when get home around 20th. Since I have added supplements to my diet and get my Thyroid medication correct I have never felt so good, and lost weight. thanks, I suffer from this as well. my medication dose was incresed about 2 months ago but I still don't feel quite right! I'm having it checked again in about a month. but will definitely start with the Brazil nuts today! I know how you must feel. My dose just kept going up. I went to an ayurverdic doctor that also helped. I am now down to just 75 mgl 's and then I discovered the nuts...try also taking Supradyn (vit B complex) . This combination made such a difference. Tigerente: I bought them in Spinnys
