Wow! I would never have thought that the Ritz would be so poor out here. I took some people to the One & Only Royal Mirage for tea and that was quite pathetic as well. The food was awful and the service was so not up to the mark. Oh well....the quest for the perfect afternoon tea continues!

I went last week to Ritz, and I was not impressed at all with the afternoon tea time . The scones were very bad. They used to be one of the best before. I have tried the one & only the palm and it was nice and different.

Hi, We went to the Ritz for afternoon tea begin of last year and we all came down with food poisoning and was all ill for some time after. We had the champagne offer and everything came out at the same time as the tea! Just didn't feel right to me. However, we have been back to the Ritz a few times, for lunch and each time we have had lovely meals and no more upset bellys! Nippy P.s We did go back to the Raffles for Afternoon Tea and was very dissapointed in there new modern menu! edited by nippy35 on 27/09/2011

Thanks Emily! This week's TimeOut has 2 for 1 vouchers for tea at the Westin but I'm hoping I can get someone to give me a first hand view before we decide on going there. The Ritz is indeed always wonderful, no matter which country you're in:)

Has anyone tried afternoon tea at the Westin or at the Ritz? How was it? Which has nicer ambience?
