Whilst I agree the tourist went overboard, there are other factors - language barrier etc. He was charged with assault and molestation - er someone needs to look up the definition of those, because he did neither. A fine and warning would have done. 6 months in jail is overkill. Gives a really bad impression of the UAE. Wait till this gets picked up.

I was going to say the same thing. He touched her twice. We don't know the details exactly of how he was acting. 7 Days likes to sensationalize. In general, it is common sense not to touch a police officer, wherever you are. I was on a flight once where a passenger got in trouble for touching a flight attendant in a non-sexual way and that is not even a member of law enforcement! Exactly, no man should touch a woman like that.

Why not read the whole article before passing comment, you will then see it was more than that. Moreover, nowhere in the world is it ok to touch a Policeman/woman or anyone in uniform without repercussion. <em>edited by Lolacat on 23/04/2015</em>
